ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Today’s 98.3 TRY social dilemma came from Steve and it’s a specific Christmas present. Here is his email:

Hi Jaime. I have my own dilemma which I hope you can use on the radio. A good friend of mine gave me instant lottery scratch tickets for Christmas. He spent about $20 on the cards and it was fun to get them. Anyway, I ended up winning $500 on one! I was so excited to see this! That’s a lot of money! But here is my dilemma. Should I tell my friend who gave me the scratch cards I won? Should I split the money with him? I don’t think I should, the cards were a gift, but several other friends said I should at least give her a hundred bucks. What do you think? Thank you very much Jaime. love to listen everyday

It’s so interesting. I have been in this position before on both sides. I gave a winning ticket to someone who then wanted to give me some money, but I refused. And I won on a ticket that was given to me and I tried to give money to the person who gave it to me. She also said no. So we both went to dinner each time, with the winner taking the bill. Personally, I don’t think Steve has to give his friend money…the scratches were gifts. But I think it would be nice to take her to dinner.

This is just my opinion, what do you think? Let’s help Steve and let me know about the TRY the Facebook page
