Do you think cardinals are a sign of a loved one who has passed away?

ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Monday’s 98.3 TRY social dilemma came from Stephanie and she’s a certain type of bird.

Hi Jaime. I’m writing your social dilemma because my best friend told me I should ask you and your listeners my question. Not long ago, I was at her house (her name is Carla) and we were sitting in the garden. She has several bird feeders and while we were talking we were watching the birds. Most of them were sparrows or blackbirds, but every now and then this handsome cardinal showed up. My friend Carla kept saying “this is my father”. I just laughed at the beginning because I didn’t understand, her father passed away several years ago, but finally I asked her what she meant. She told me that the cardinals were visits from deceased loved ones. I had NEVER heard this before and laughed at her. She told me it was real and a lot of people believe it. So I thought you might help me. Is it true? Do people really believe it? Are Cardinals Visiting a Loved One? Thank you I like

~ Stephanie

I have to admit that I too believe that the Cardinals are a visit from a loved one. I heard that a long time ago, and it has stuck with me ever since. To me, the Cardinals seem to show up at important times, so that justifies it for me. I know it sounds silly, but I believe in the signs of those who have passed away, so I’m totally into this one.

What do you think? Do you agree or do you think that a cardinal appearing on your feeder is just a pretty bird. Let me know on the TRY Facebook page.
