ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Tuesday’s TRY social dilemma came from Dave. He doesn’t think ketchup should go on a hot dog.

Hi Jaime. It’s a simple dilemma. It has to do with eating a hot dog. I don’t think ketchup should go on a hot dog. Sure when you’re a kid it’s fine, but once you’re an adult the ketchup should be out. Some friends say I’m completely wrong, but I’ve actually researched this and even the National Hot Dog and Sausage Council agrees with me. No ketchup. Mustard, chili, relish, onions and cheese are okay. Everything else, including the ketchup, is a no-no. My friends are driving me crazy with this but I know I’m right. So what do you and your listeners think? Thank you I like

~ Dave.

Wow, those are fighting words from Dave. I step away from the set here, because for the most part I love my plain hot dogs. Every now and then I’ll make Charlie hot dog sauce, or Sabretts sauce, but never mustard or ketchup or anything. I never realized that ketchup was so controversial.

What do you think? Is ketchup on a hot dog good or is it just plain wrong. Let’s help Dave and let me know on the TRY Facebook page
