ALBANY, NY (NEWS10) – Today’s 98.3 TRY social dilemma came from Peter, and aptly enough, it’s Christmas Eve.
Hi Jaime.
I’m writing because I’m a little upset about something. I work for a large company but I feel like they are abandoning all of us, their employees, this year. Let’s face it, 2020 has been tough. I have several friends who work for other companies and enjoy not only Christmas Day but Christmas Eve as well. I think it’s fantastic. But my company expects us to work until 5:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve. They don’t even let us go out early. I don’t think it’s fair. Obviously we won’t have the plans that we usually do on Christmas Eve, but we always have a nice dinner with our family and now it will have to be postponed because I won’t be home until 6 a.m. I believe, especially this year, companies should give everyone Christmas Eve. What do you think?
Thank you Jaime and I hope you and your family have a wonderful vacation
~ Peter
Um, I’m lucky. I work for a company that gave everyone Christmas Eve even though I am working. But my day will end early. I think it’s a nice gesture but I don’t think it’s mandatory. But that’s just my opinion.
What do you think? Should Christmas Eve also be a public holiday? Let us know on the NEWS10 Facebook page or let Jaime know on the TRY Facebook page.
